Eye Health Exam:
A comprehensive eye exam can take an hour or more, depending on the number and complexity of tests required to fully evaluate your vision and the health of your eyes. Sample tests include visual acuity, retinoscopy, pupil dilation, glaucoma test, refraction, and cover tests. Whether you have dry eyes, pink eye, nearsightedness, astigmatism, eye allergies, glaucoma concerns, macular degeneration, or simply want better-looking eyewear, Hendrix Vision Center is here for your needs.
Contact Lens Exam:
In most cases, an eye health exam does not include a contact lens fitting, and therefore you will not be given a contact lens prescription at the end of a routine eye exam. However, there are exceptions: If you already wear contact lenses, and the lenses were fitted by the same eye doctor who is performing your eye health exam, he or she may issue you an updated contact lens prescription at the end of your eye exam. At Hendrix Vision Center, we will ensure that you receive the proper contact lens exam at your request.
Adult and Child Eye Screening:
Adult and child eye screenings are available at Hendrix Vision Center, as well. These screenings are efficient and cost-effective, and exist to identify children and adults with visual impairment or eye conditions that are likely to lead to visual impairment so that a referral can be made to an appropriate eye care professional for further evaluation and treatment. Our adult and child eye screening will not diagnose exactly what is wrong with your eyes; however, it will help determine whether an appointment with an ophthalmologist or optometrist for a more comprehensive dilated eye examination is necessary.
